Filippo Valvona has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Filippo currently holds the position of Senior Fund Selection Portfolio Manager at Amundi since March 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Pioneer Investments from 2004 to 2011, where they held various roles including Fund Analyst, responsible for equity and bond investment manager research and selection, and management of wrap accounts and building blocks for a high net worth team. Filippo also managed a commodity portfolio through the use of ETC and funds. Before joining Pioneer Investments, they worked at ING from 2000 to 2004, starting as a Portfolio Manager and later becoming the Head of Fund of Funds. In this role, they managed four funds of funds and was responsible for qualitative and quantitative analysis of third-party managers. Filippo was also a member of the Investment Committee, which made decisions on market strategies and asset allocations.
Filippo Valvona completed a Master's degree in Financial Planning at Università Bocconi from 2001 to 2002. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1999, Valvona attended the University of Naples 'Parthenope', although the specific degree and field of study are not provided. In 1998, Valvona also completed a course on Credit Derivatives at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
