Lorenzo Portelli

Head of Cross Asset Research at Amundi

Lorenzo Portelli has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Lorenzo began their career in 2000 as a Research Assistant at IRS. Lorenzo then joined Nextra Investment Management in 2001 as a Risk Manager in the Institutional Client Risks Management Department. In 2003, they joined Amundi Pioneer as a Global Asset Allocation Analyst, where they developed quantitative asset allocation strategies and implemented long-short strategies on equity sectors, G10, GEM FX, and Commodities. In 2017, they transitioned to Amundi as the Head of Cross Asset Research. Later that year, they also took on the role of Senior Asset Allocation Analyst at Amundi Pioneer. Throughout their career, Lorenzo has played key roles in forecasting models and tools, and has been responsible for managing institutional client risks.

Lorenzo Portelli pursued their education at Università Bocconi, Milano. From 1993 to 2000, they earned a degree in Economics, focusing on Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. Later, in 2000-2001, they pursued a Master's degree in Quantitative Finance and Insurance, with a specialization in Financial Mathematics at the same institution.
