Senior Scientist at Amunix

Ming Dong's work experience begins in 2000, when they joined LBNL as a Biochemistry Scientist. In this role, they conducted research on drosophila quantification modeling as part of the Berkeley Drosophila Transcription Network Project (BDTNP). They also purified antibodies for chromatin immunoprecipitation. In 2005, Ming Dong became a Scientist at LBNL, where they used a high throughput tagless strategy to identify protein-protein interactions in desulfovibrio vulgaris. They developed various protocols and conducted mass spectrometer analysis to identify over 200 interactions with high confidence. Ming Dong also contributed to a side project on enzyme activity increase in an evolution context and collaborated with multiple groups within the PCAP project. From 2000 to 2003, they were a Postdoc. researcher at LBNL, conducting research and designing experiments. In 2017, Ming Dong joined LakePharma, Inc. as a Senior Scientist. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientist at Amunix, which they started in 2019.

Ming Dong's education history begins with receiving a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience from SIBC, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Animal Physiology and Biochemistry from China Agricultural University, where they attended from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in "Fundamentals of Immunology: Innate Immunity and B-Cell Function" from Coursera in May 2020.
