Toby Turney has diverse work experience in the field of research and education. Toby began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame, where they generated codes to analyze in silico models of small glycosides. Toby then joined the University of California, Berkeley as a Graduate Student Researcher, where they conducted research for six years. During this time, they also served as a Graduate Student Instructor in both Neuroscience and Biophysics, teaching classes and leading weekly discussion sections. Currently, Toby is working as a Scientist I in Protein Engineering at Amunix Pharmaceuticals.

Toby Turney began their education journey in 2012 at the University of Notre Dame, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry. Toby attended the university until 2016, successfully completing their undergraduate studies. Afterward, Toby Turney decided to further their education and joined the University of California, Berkeley in 2016. Over the course of six years, until 2022, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biophysics.
