Joseph Chenelly serves as the Executive Director of AMVETS National Headquarters, overseeing one of the largest Congressionally-chartered veterans service organizations in the United States. With a background in communications and public relations, Joseph has held significant roles, including Assistant National Director for Communications at Disabled American Veterans and Senior Political Advisor for the Jim Webb presidential campaign. Joseph's experience also includes being an elected member of the Calvert County Board of Education, president of Social Communications of Southern Maryland, and National Director of Communications for American Veterans. Joseph holds degrees in Journalism, Public Relations, and Photojournalism from prominent institutions and has further honed skills in strategic communications, program development, and media relations throughout a diverse career.
