Mack Mitchell

Mack Mitchell, MD, Halbreich Professor of Gastroenterology and Vice President for Medical Affairs at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He previously served as EVP of Health System at UT Southwestern, Chair of Board of Scientific Counselors for NIAAA, Chief of Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Chair of Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center. Dr. Mitchell’s clinical expertise is in gastroenterology and liver diseases, and he currently serves as co-PI for a randomized clinical trial (AlcHepNet) in patients with alcohol-associated hepatitis sponsored by NIAAA. Dr Mitchell serves Amygdala as Chief Medical Advisor.
