Lahar Mehta has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical fields. Their most recent role was as the Vice President/Head of Global Clinical Development at Amylyx Pharmaceuticals, starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Clinical Development at Annexon Biosciences from September 2020 to November 2021. Lahar also held positions as the Vice President of Clinical Development at Alder Biopharmaceuticals/Lundbeck Seattle Biopharmaceuticals from May 2019 to September 2020, Senior Medical Director at Genentech from July 2018 to May 2019, and Medical Director at Amgen from June 2016 to July 2018. Lahar Mehta completed a BS in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis from 1990 to 1994. They then pursued a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Meharry Medical College, which they completed from 1995 to 1999. Following this, Lahar Mehta went on to do a General Surgery Internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego from 1999 to 2000. They furthered their education by completing a Neurology Residency Program at the University of Utah School of Medicine from 2003 to 2006. Finally, they pursued a Fellowship in Experimental Therapeutics and Neuroimmunology at the University of Rochester from 2007 to 2009.
