Anushree Das

Scientist III at Amyris

Anushree Das has worked for a number of companies, beginning in 2011. Anushree began as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, where they investigated the photochemical mechanism of chalcone derivatives to produce natural product and investigated wavelength specific photodegradation of chalcone derivtives and screening of photoreactivity inside macromolecules. In 2017, they moved to SRI International, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, specializing in multistep synthesis of complex nucleoside sugars and their isotopic analogues using HPLC, ion-exchange chromatography resin, as well as synthesizing carbohydrates with high purity and creating reference standards for the Metabolite Standard Synthesis Center (MSSC). In 2020, they began working as a Research and Development Chemist at Lacamas Laboratories and as a Peer-Reviewer at MDPI. Most recently, in 2021, they took on the role of Scientist III and Scientist II at Amyris.

Anushree Das completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati in 2016. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2011.
