Carlos Gustavo Vieira Bento

Carlos Gustavo Vieira Bento is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in process engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineer at Amyris since June 2021, Carlos coordinates systems and packages for the implementation of a new manufacturing site. Previously, Carlos held positions at GEA Group as Project Coordinator and Process Engineer, where responsibilities included proposal development and project execution across various industries, including brewing and pharmaceuticals. Carlos also has a background in basic and detailed project design for the pulp and paper and fertilizer sectors at Devemada Engenharia, as well as project services for dairy plants at EAI Engenharia e Automação. Early career experience includes engineering roles at Projectus Consultoria and Petrobras, contributing to process documentation and equipment sizing. Carlos holds an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a degree in Chemical Engineering from UFSCar.
