Tekoa Mitchell

Tekoa Mitchell, MS, is an experienced educator currently working at An Achievable Dream since September 2022, where responsibilities include planning and delivering instruction, developing curriculum materials aligned with VDOE standards, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment through collaboration with stakeholders. Previously, Tekoa completed a Public Health Research Internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School, focusing on community health initiatives and policy development to improve breastfeeding rates. Additionally, Tekoa worked as a Day Support Professional at Eggleston, facilitating communication with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Tekoa holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from James Madison University.
