Alex Smith

Alex Smith has a strong background in biostatistics and has held various leadership roles in the field. They currently serve as the Vice President of Biostatistics at AN2 Therapeutics since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Aimmune Therapeutics as the Vice President of Biometrics from March 2021 to May 2022, as well as the Senior Director of Biostatistics from August 2019 to March 2021, and the Director of Biostatistics from January 2019 to August 2019. Before joining Aimmune Therapeutics, Alex worked at Achaogen as the Director of Biostatistics from January 2015 to December 2018. They also have experience in biostatistics roles at Cerexa as the Associate Director from February 2008 to December 2014, and at Pacific Data Designs as a Senior Statistician from October 2003 to February 2008. Alex began their career as a Research Biostatistician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from October 1999 to September 2003.

Alex Smith earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis, from 1992 to 1996. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Statistics at The University of British Columbia from 1997 to 1999.
