Daniel Cox's work experience includes positions at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. and Tufts University School of Medicine. Daniel is currently employed as a Machine Learning Scientist at Voyager Therapeutics, starting in November 2022. Prior to their current role, they held various positions at Tufts University School of Medicine, including Associate Professor of Neuroscience from 2007 to 2019 and Assistant Professor of Neuroscience from 1999 to 2007.

Daniel Cox has a strong educational background with a focus on science and data analysis. Daniel began their educational journey in 1982 at the University of Virginia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry in 1986. Taking their interest further, Daniel pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Neuroscience at the Tufts University School of Medicine, graduating in 1993. Daniel then went on to Stanford University, where they completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Ion channel Biophysics from 1993 to 1999. In 2019, Daniel returned to academia to pursue a Master's degree in Data Science at Harvard University, completing their studies in 2021.
