Russell Keith-Magee

Russell Keith-Magee is an accomplished software engineer and prominent figure in the Python programming community, currently serving as a member of the CPython Core Team and CPython Triage Team at the Python Software Foundation since October 2023. As the Principal Software Engineer and Team Lead at Anaconda, Inc. since March 2022, and the founder of the BeeWare Project since July 2014, Russell has significantly contributed to open-source software development, particularly through involvement with the Django framework as a core developer from December 2005 to June 2021. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Upwave as a Staff Software Engineer and Senior Data Engineer, as well as instructional roles at various companies. Russell holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, and a BSc in Physics from Curtin University.
