Sayın Barış Tan

prof. Dr. Barış Tan is an Associate Professor of Management and Industrial Engineering at Koç University. He has many publications on the design and control of production systems, supply chain management, analytical modeling and business model innovation. Dr. Among the awards Tan received are the Turkish Academy of Sciences Distinguished Young Researcher Award, TÜBİTAK and NATO Research Grants, the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center guest researcher program and the best article awards. He received his BA in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University, his MA in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, his MA in Production Systems and his PhD in Operations Research. Dr. tan, He joined Koç University in 1994 and served as the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Director of the Institute of Business Administration. prof. Dr. Tan has been visiting professor at Harvard University Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences, MIT Operations Research Center, MIT Laboratory for Manufacturing and Productivity, Cambridge Judge Business School and University College London School of Management. prof. Dr. Tan is a member of the advisory boards of Kyoto University Graduate School of Management, EM Lyon, and Nottingham Business School, and chair of the Senate of the ISM University of Management and Economics. prof.
