Naoki Kamimaeda has a diverse range of work experience in the venture capital and investment industry. Naoki has worked as a Partner and Europe Division Head at Global Brain Corporation since December 2015, where they have established and headed the Global Brain Europe HQ office. Their responsibilities include conducting deal sourcing and investment due diligence in startups worldwide, as well as working on business development for portfolio startups. Additionally, they have initiated and led investment activities with Sony Financial Ventures. Naoki Kamimaeda has also served as a Founding Partner and Head of Europe at Global Brain Europe Limited since January 2019. In this role, they have been responsible for managing a portfolio of 30+ startups across the UK, Europe, Israel, Japan, and the US.

In addition to their roles at Global Brain Corporation, Naoki Kamimaeda has also served as a mentor at the EBRD Star Venture program, Plug and Play Tech Center, and as an investor/member of the supervisory board at Xayn, Balance Re, Immense Simulations, Analytical Flavor Systems, SCADAfence, Idein Inc., and COGNITEE INC. These roles have allowed him to contribute to the growth and development of various startups and companies across different industries.

Naoki Kamimaeda completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science at Meiji University from 2000 to 2004. Following that, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. In 2012, Naoki Kamimaeda attended the University of Cambridge and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategy and Marketing in 2013. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained certification as a Certified SAFe Practitioner from the Scaled Agile Academy in August 2014.
