Christopher Haines

Associate Director, Discovery Biology at AnaptysBio

Christopher Haines has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and immunology. Christopher is currently working as an Associate Director of Discovery Biology at AnaptysBio since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Takeda as a Principal Scientist from October 2018 to October 2021. Christopher also worked at Merck in various roles including Associate Principal Scientist from October 2013 to October 2018, Senior Scientist from August 2011 to October 2013, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow from May 2009 to August 2011. Christopher started their career as a Laboratory Technician at the University of California San Diego from July 1998 to August 2001. Christopher holds a Ph.D. in Immunology and was a Ph.D. Candidate at Stanford University School of Medicine from September 2001 to June 2007. During their time at Stanford, they also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Immunology, where they applied a novel biomarker identified in their Ph.D. research to monitor T cell production.

Christopher Haines has an extensive education history that includes a Ph.D. in Immunology from Stanford University School of Medicine, which they completed between 2001 and 2007. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology, at UC San Diego from 1997 to 1998. Their undergraduate studies were also at UC San Diego, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, from 1993 to 1997.
