Alexander Rau

Scientist, Protein Engineering at Anaveon

Alexander Rau is a German scientist who is currently working as a protein engineer at Anaveon. Alexander has also worked as a senior investigator for antibody engineering at Ichnos Sciences and as a doctoral student at the University of Stuttgart. Alexander's research has focused on developing antibody treatments for various types of cancer, including colorectal cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, and gastric cancer. Alexander has also done research on the cloning, production, and purification of mono- and bispecific antibodies. In addition, they have characterized antibodies using various techniques, such as ELISA, flow cytometry, QCM, proliferation assay, apoptosis assay, migration assays, cytotoxicity assays, and Western Blot. Alexander has also analyzed antibody-based treatments in organoid, oncosphere, and 3D cell culture models. Furthermore, they have conducted pharmacokinetic studies in immunocompetent mice and pharmacodynamic studies in mouse xenograft tumor models.

Alexander Rau studied Technische Biologie at the University of Stuttgart, first completing a Bachelor of Science (BS) and then a Master of Science (MS).

Alexander Rau reports to Christoph Huber, Chief Scientific Officer. They are on a team with Laetitia Petersen - Senior Scientist, Daniela Di Blasi - Clinical Scientist, and Pia Neubert - Associate Scientist.
