Lee Basson

Lee Basson's work experience begins in 1988 when they worked as a PRO at Santambank Jhb. From 1991 to 1993, they served as a PRO at DairyBelle (Pty) Ltd. Following that, they worked as a Training Manager at SA Phillips from 1993 to 1995. From 1996 to 1997, they were a Client Services Advisor at PRO. Starting in 1997, Lee served as a Private Banking Manager and later as a Private Banker at Nedbank Private Wealth South Africa until 2002. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as an International Investment Manager at Barclays, providing investment and savings recommendations to clients. At Investec, Lee had various roles from 2005 to 2013, including Relationship Manager/Private Banker/Treasury Consultant and Private Banker. At Absa Group, they served as a Private Banker from 2013 to 2017. From 2018 to 2019, Lee worked as an Onboarding Manager at Capital International Group. They subsequently held roles as a Client Engagement Manager, Key Account Team Manager SA, and currently as the Head of Accounts at Anchor since March 2023.

Lee Basson attended Voortrekker High School from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained their Grade 12 degree. In 1984, they enrolled at the University of the Free State and completed their BA in Communication degree in 1986, focusing on Communication and Media Studies. In 2013, Lee obtained the RE 5 certification from the Moonstone Business School of Excellence.
