Andrew Kitchen is a skilled professional with extensive experience in both construction management and the handmade artisan industry. Currently serving as the Preconstruction Manager and Chief Estimator at Anchor Construction Corporation since September 2021, Andrew has also held the position of Senior Estimator at The Lane Construction Corporation and Concrete General, Inc. between 2014 and 2021. Andrew's entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in founding the Handmade Artists' Shop in December 2009 and the It's Better Handmade initiative in April 2012, both aimed at supporting handmade artists and crafters. Additionally, Andrew offers handcrafted custom jewelry through Chainmaille By MBOI, specializing in sterling silver using the ancient technique of chainmaille. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Estimator/Project Manager at Cruz Contractors and a Superintendent at Concrete General Construction, showcasing a strong background in managing complex projects within the heavy highway construction sector.
