Juan Vicaria

Juan Vicaria has a long history of work experience in software engineering. In 2008, they were awarded a Formation of University Professor (FPU) scholarship by the Education and Science Ministry, where they conducted research and development of distributed predictive control systems, irrigation channels control and human interface devices. From 2009 to 2014, they worked at UNIT4 Group as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer, developing the Procurement and Sales module in Unit4 Agresso ERP Software. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Lead Software Development Engineer and .Net Developer at Findmypast. Juan then moved on to Trainline, where they were a Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager from 2018 to 2020. In 2022, they joined &Open as the Head of Software Engineering.

Juan Vicaria attended the Universidad de Sevilla from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a degree in Telecomunication Engineering with a field of study in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. In April 2009, they became a Member of the Spanish Official College of Telecomunication Engineers.
