Lee Craig has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting from 1996, Lee worked for South Lanarkshire Council as an Emergency Planning Officer, where they advised on emergency planning and response. Lee then went on to serve as Vice Chair and later Chair of the Scottish Branch at the Emergency Planning Society from 2001 to 2006. In 2003, Lee joined South Lanarkshire Council again as a Health Safety and Contingency Planning Adviser, where they developed and implemented H&S and contingency planning policies. From 2011 to 2016, Lee was a Panel Member at Children's Hearing Scotland. Lee then worked as a Business Safety Consultant at Peninsula UK from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Law At Work as a Health and Safety Manager and later became the Senior Health and Safety Manager until 2021. From 2021 to 2023, Lee served as the Head of Health and Safety at French Duncan LLP. Currently, they hold the position of Health and Safety Service Lead at AAB People.

Lee Craig obtained a Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management from NEBOSH in the year 2018. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Safety and Risk Management from Strathclyde University. In addition, Lee also completed their National General Certificate in Health and Safety from NEBOSH between 2003 and 2004. Lastly, in the years 1984 to 1986, they attended Bell College (now University of West of Scotland) and earned an HNC in Public Administration.
