Alyssa Hess has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alyssa began their career in 2008 as a Substitute Teacher at Lakewood Park Christian School. Alyssa then worked as a Sports Information Student Assistant and later as a Security Worker at Anderson University from 2008 to 2013. In 2013, they held roles as a Race Marketing Intern at Hoosier Park and a Clinic Administrator at Massage Envy. Alyssa then transitioned into the field of education, working as a Special Education Teacher at Anderson Community Schools from 2014 to 2018, and later at Angola High School from 2018 to 2019. In their teaching roles, they created inclusive learning environments, integrated technology, differentiated instruction, and used data to inform instruction. Prior to their teaching career, they also worked as a Catering Assistant at Classic City Events from 2009 to 2013. Overall, Alyssa has accumulated a strong background in education, event planning, and administrative roles.

Alyssa Hess earned a Master's Degree in Special Education and Teaching from Purdue University in the year 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) specializing in Marketing from Anderson University between the years 2012 and 2014. Alyssa also possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science from Anderson University, which was completed from 2008 to 2012. Alyssa started their educational journey at Lakewood Park Christian School, where they obtained an Honors Diploma from 1998 to 2008.
