Guillermo Galvan

Director, Operations: Engineering, Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing at Anderson-Cook, Inc.

Guillermo Galvan has worked in the engineering and operational excellence space since 2004. Guillermo began their career at Federal-Mogul Powertrain as a Quality and Process Senior Engineer, where they were responsible for upgrading the quality system, carrying out quality audits, and leading continuous improvement projects. Guillermo also achieved an increase of 96% customer satisfaction level service through 8D's and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Guillermo then moved to ltaiika as the Lean Manufacturing Manager in 2009, where they were responsible for engineering processes and improving manufacturing methods. In 2013, they joined APEX Automotive B.V. as the Engineering and Lean Manufacturing Head (Sr. Manager). In this role, they developed manufacturing and engineering processes, led Lean-Six Sigma projects to reduce and save costs, and managed and executed investments for Capex. Finally, they joined Anderson-Cook, Inc. in 2016 as the Director of Operations for Engineering, Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing. In this role, they were accountable for Regional Operations and responsible for OPEX and CI Roadmap deployment annual plan, Hoshin planning matrix, KPI's, and Balanced Scorecard define and management. Guillermo also optimized engineering, cell design and manufacturing processes through TPS, OEE, TPM, VSM, 5S's, SMED, Kaizen events, wastes reduction, time motion studies, standard work, visual factory and SQDC dashboards.

Guillermo Galvan received their Postgraduate degree in Quality Management Systems from Instituto Politécnico Nacional in 2007, following their Industrial Engineering degree from the same institution in 2006. In 2010, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt from Arizona State University and in 2015, they earned a Six Sigma Master Black Belt from the same institution.
