Automation Controls Engineer at Andis Company

Dave Gleisner began their work experience as an Architectural Intern at Bray Architects Associates, Inc. in January 2010. Dave then worked as a Draftsman at Stephen Perry Smith Architects, Inc. from October 2012 to March 2013. From May 2013 to May 2014, Dave worked as a Bartender at G2 Secure Staff.

In October 2013, Dave joined Andis Company as a Product Engineering Co-Op, where they processed engineering change requests, created 2D drawings, and made modifications to 3D models. Dave then advanced to the role of Tool Designer from January 2015 to October 2017, where they contributed to Andis' global growth by providing top-performing tools.

Dave continued to progress at Andis Company, becoming a Senior Tool Designer from October 2017 to January 2018. In this role, they specialized in specialty tooling and 3D modeling. Dave then transitioned to the position of an Associate Controls Engineer in January 2018, where they developed automation integrations and instructed maintenance, engineering, and operators in procedures.

Dave's most recent role at Andis Company is as an Automation Controls Engineer, which they started in July 2020. Dave leads and assists in automated system start-ups, coordinates with suppliers and contractors, and determines the direction for machine controls and new robotic opportunities.

Dave Gleisner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2009. Dave then pursued an Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Milwaukee Area Technical College, which they completed from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, in 2013, they attended the National Bartending School to obtain a Mixologist certification in Bartending/Bartender.
