Thomas Wellner

Thomas Wellner is President and Chief Executive Officer of Revera Inc., an owner, operator and investor in the senior living sector based in Mississauga, Ontario. Since joining Revera in 2014, Mr. Wellner has led the organization through transformational growth, working with strategic partners in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom to expand Revera’s portfolio to more than 500 properties internationally. Mr. Wellner has extensive global experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals and health care services, having previously served as Co-CEO of LifeLabs Inc., and as President and CEO of both CML Healthcare Inc. and Therapure Biopharma Inc. Mr. Wellner began his career at Eli Lilly & Company, where he held a variety of global operational and leadership roles over a period of more than 20 years.

Mr. Wellner currently serves on the board of directors of a number of private companies, including Revera and FreshBooks. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University. In addition, he has completed the Directors Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors at the Rotman School of Management, as well as an executive education course through the Harvard Business School.
