Tanya Clews

Tanya Clews has extensive experience in the insurance industry, with a particular focus on claims management. Tanya began their career at Direct Line as a Team Leader and later worked at Crowe Insurance @ Lloyds, where they were responsible for handling commercial motor claims. Tanya then joined RBS Insurance, where they served as a Personal Injury Manager, overseeing the development and negotiation skills of their team. Tanya later moved to Lumley Business Solutions as a Claims Manager for Westpac, where they successfully turned around an underperforming team. Tanya then joined Lumley General Insurance (N.Z.) Ltd., where they held various roles, including Commercial EQ Claims Manager, Claims Operations Manager-Broker, Channel Manager, and Claims Manager - Earthquake Response. In these roles, they led teams, developed strategic plans, and ensured timely delivery of service to customers. Tanya also played a key role in the successful integration of One Motor and led the full end-to-end claims review for Lumley's earthquake response. Tanya also worked at IAG New Zealand as a Distribution Manager for Westpac and is currently working at Ando Insurance Group Limited as the Head of Claims Partnerships and Services.

Tanya Clews attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 2015 to 2016, where they pursued executive management studies. In addition to their university education, Tanya obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2013, they earned a Lean Fundamentals Certification, although the institution from which they obtained it is unknown. In 2010, they became an ANZIIF - Associate CIP through the Australian & NZ Institute of Insurance & Finance. Lastly, in 2000, Tanya received a CII - Certificate Insurance from the UK.
