Becky Pferdehirt

Becky Pferdehirt, PhD, currently serves as an Investment Partner at Andreessen Horowitz since March 2021, focusing on investments and support for entrepreneurs at the intersection of biology, technology, and healthcare. Prior to this role, Becky held positions at Amgen, including Senior Manager in Business Development and a Scientist in Discovery Research, where work centered on external R&D technology licensing and developing novel technologies for cell and gene therapies. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Genentech, graduate research at UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and roles at Promega and MIT as a Research Scientist and Undergraduate Research Assistant, respectively. Becky Pferdehirt earned a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
