Ben Lewis

Ben Lewis began their career in 2009 as an Intern at Clatter&Din, where they worked behind the scenes ensuring client comfort, aiding in session set-up and tear-down, and doing minor carpentry and acoustic treatment work. Ben then worked as a Demonstrator for Warehouse Demo Services, where they prepared and served product samples. In 2010, they became a Lead Driver at Jimmy John's, where they were responsible for leading by example, policy correction/training, driver account maintenance, bicycle inspections/adjustments, route planning, and intra-team dispute resolution. In 2012, they worked as a Board Operator at Salem Communications. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Production Specialist at Clean Republic LLC, where they were heavily involved in building, testing, packing, and shipping electric bike conversion kits. Ben also took on a role in the technical support department, where they tested, troubleshooted, and repaired customer battery packs and wheels. In 2017, they worked as a Barista at Starbucks. In 2018, they worked as a Driver for Lyft. In 2020, they became a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Sensol Systems, where they were involved in design refinement, structural analysis, and FEA modeling of a smart crosswalk. Currently, they are an Associate Mechanical Engineer at Andrews Cooper, an engineering services firm that specializes in automation and manufacturing and product development.

Ben Lewis began their educational journey in 2006 when they attended Seattle Pacific University and studied Music. Ben then transferred to The Art Institutes in 2008 and obtained an AA in Audio Production in 2010. After a brief break, they attended Seattle Central College in 2017 to pursue a degree in Engineering and transferred to the University of Washington in 2019 to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
