Dan Hipwood

Dan Hipwood has over 13 years of experience in mechanical engineering and product design. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Andrews Cooper, an engineering services firm that specializes in both automation and manufacturing and product development. From 2014 to 2021, they were a Senior Design Engineer at Boa Technology, where they used Solidworks to design and develop premium sporting good products. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Product Engineer II at Syncroness, where they were responsible for original design, prototyping, and testing of consumer and medical devices. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Machine Mechanical Design Engineer at GE Power & Water, where they developed solid modeling and drawings using Autodesk Inventor for the continued support and development of manufacturing equipment for the production of thin film solar cells. From 2010 to 2011, they were a Fuel Cell Design Engineer at Protonex, where they were responsible for Solidworks design of systems and sub-system integration for man-portable fuel cell systems. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Mechanical Engineer, TEC Assembly at MSI Tec, Inc., where they helped build and wire electrical panels and enclosures for various customers. In 2008, they worked at Wolf Robotics as an Assembly. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Quality Inspector at Manes Machine and Engineering, where they were responsible for quality assurance inspection of machined aerospace components.

Dan Hipwood attended Colorado State University from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
