Jacob Fricke has had a varied and extensive career in engineering and construction. Jacob began working in 2004 as a Construction Worker and Maintenance Technician at White Shield, Inc. In 2008, they took on the role of Technical Intern IV at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where they worked with the Applied Physics Group in Non-Destructive Testing Methods and the Electronic Health Monitoring Group. In 2014, they joined DWFritz Precision Automation as a Mechanical Engineer and Application Technician, where they were responsible for Precision Automation Design, Automation Testing & Evaluation, and Mechanical Drafting. In 2017, they moved to Sigma Design, Product Design and Engineering as an Integration Engineer. Finally, in 2022, they joined Andrews Cooper as a Senior System Engineer.
Jacob Fricke attended Hanford High, Columbia Basin College, and Washington State University. At Columbia Basin College, they earned an Associate of Science (AS) in Mechanical Engineering from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University, with a focus on Dynamic Systems and Nuclear Physics.
