Max Newman

Max Newman has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Max started their career as an Engineering Intern at United Corrstack in 2012, where they gained knowledge about paper mill operations and performed support tasks. In 2013, they worked as an Undergraduate Grader and Research Assistant at the University of Virginia. Max'sresearch involved wind tunnel analysis of an inertial particle separator and designing a hexacopter UAV platform for environmental research.

In 2014, Max joined Electric Boat as a System Engineer II, where they contributed to the HVAC system design for the OHIO Replacement submarine program. Max also developed 3D arrangement models and mentored new system engineers during their time there.

From 2018, Max has been working at Commonwealth Technology, Inc. as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. In this role, they serve as a Project Lead for the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) project. Max manages the schedule and budget for a production run of complex electrical mechanical devices. Max also handles procurement tasks and utilizes Microsoft Project and accounting reports for project management.

Most recently, Max joined Andrews Cooper in 2022 as a Staff Mechanical Engineer. The details of their role are not provided, but it can be inferred that they continue to contribute to the field of mechanical engineering in this position.
