Melissa Pecoraro (Moody) has a diverse work experience. Melissa began their career in 2010 as a Laboratory Assistant at the Pennsylvania State University's Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics and Department of Biology and Entomology. Later that year, they were a Research Intern at Iowa State University's George Washington Carver Internship Program. In 2011, Melissa was an Animal Care Intern at the Philadelphia Zoo and a Research Intern at Iowa State University's George Washington Carver Internship Program. In 2012, they were an Andrology/Endocrinology Senior Laboratory Technician at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey. Finally, in 2015, Melissa began working at Androvia LifeSciences as a Laboratory Supervisor, QMS Manager, and Research Scientist.

Melissa Pecoraro (Moody) completed their H.S. Diploma from Hackensack High School in 2007. Melissa then attended Penn State University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Animal Sciences in 2011. Melissa went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Molecular Biology at Lehigh University, which they completed in 2014.
