Mason A. Chilmonczyk, PhD has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and engineering fields. Mason A. is currently the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Andson Biotech, a company focused on developing sensors for advanced biomanufacturing discovery and monitoring.
In 2023, Mason joined BioTools Innovator as part of the 2023 cohort. This program, powered by MedTech Innovator, aims to enhance human health by accelerating the growth of life science tools and diagnostics companies through mentorship and support.
Before that, Mason was a member of the inaugural cohort at Merck Digital Sciences Studio, an accelerator program providing support and investment to startups in digital biopharma. Mason A. also participated in the Winter 2022 Batch at Y Combinator, an organization that assists startups in various stages.
From 2014 to 2022, Mason worked at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Initially, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on the development of a platform technology for real-time monitoring of cell bioreactors. Later as a Postdoctoral Researcher, they integrated the device developed during their PhD, the Dynamic Sampling Platform, with clinically and commercially relevant workflows.
Mason gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Pharmaworks in 2013 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of South Florida from 2012 to 2014. Mason A. also worked as a Manufacturing Assistant at QTM from 2011 to 2013.

Mason A. Chilmonczyk, PhD has a diverse education history consisting of multiple degrees in mechanical engineering. From 2010 to 2014, they attended the University of South Florida, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mason A. then went on to pursue further education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2014 to 2017. Building on their knowledge and expertise, Mason continued their studies at Georgia Institute of Technology and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from 2017 to 2020. More recently, in 2022, Mason participated in the Y Combinator program, specializing in Andson Biotech as the CEO and Co-founder.
