Sabarni Palit

Sabarni Palit has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Principal Product Engineer at Anello since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at II-VI Incorporated as a Senior Staff/Lead Engineer from August 2020 to September 2021.

From 2017 to 2020, Sabarni worked at Finisar Corporation as a Senior Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for product engineering for a range of semiconductor lasers for wireless, datacom, and telecom markets. Sabarni collaborated with various cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and quality.

Sabarni's career also includes their time at GE Global Research, where they held multiple roles. From 2013 to 2017, they served as a Lead Photonic Device Engineer and Project Lead, focusing on photodiode arrays for Medical Computed Tomography (CT) Detectors. Sabarni managed and trained technical teams working on embedded software control for off-highway vehicles and industrial power generation. Sabarni also provided product support for embedded software for off-highway vehicles.

Sabarni's work experience also includes an engineering internship at Cummins Inc., where they gained experience in implementing new engine features for industrial vehicles.

Sabarni Palit has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from MKSSS Cummins College of Engineering for Women. Sabarni also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In addition to their formal education, Sabarni obtained a professional certification in Silicon Photonics Design, Fabrication, and Data Analysis from edX in August 2021.
