Wanjohi M.

Wanjohi M. is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in firmware and product application development. Currently serving as a Tech Lead Product Applications Engineer at Astera Labs since January 2024, Wanjohi previously held the position of Senior Firmware Engineer at Solidigm, overseeing thermal and power management for enterprise SSD SoC controllers. Prior to that, Wanjohi worked at Intel Corporation in a similar role and contributed as an Electronics Product Development Engineer at Greenlight Innovation Corp., where firmware for Data Acquisition units was developed. Earlier experience includes software development roles at ThisFish and Ecotrust Canada, as well as control system engineering at TRAXX Automation Ltd. Wanjohi began a career in engineering with electrical design work at the University of Victoria Centre for Aerospace Research and an engineering coop at Viking Air. Wanjohi holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria.
