George Kalfas has extensive work experience in various roles related to control center management, monitoring, and performance analysis in the renewable energy sector. George is currently the Head of Control Centre & Monitoring at Anesco Ltd since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Group O&M Control Manager at Enviromena from 2020 to 2022, where they were responsible for managing solar PV assets globally and ensuring contractual obligations were met. Before that, they served as the Monitoring and Performance Centre Manager at METKA EGN from 2019 to 2020, where they monitored sites, analyzed system issues, and coordinated troubleshooting efforts. George also has experience as an Operations Manager and PV Performance & Monitoring Manager at Brighter Green Engineering Limited and as a PV Systems Designer/Electrical Engineer at ECO Michaniki. George started their career at United Textiles as a Senior Electrical Engineer.
George Kalfas pursued their education in the field of advanced electronics, beginning in 2003 when they enrolled at the University of the West of England. George completed their studies in 2004 and graduated with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in advanced electronics. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2003, they attended the University of Portsmouth where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Control Engineering.
