POSITION TITLE: Support Service Specialist
Working under the supervision of the Retention Services Lead, the Support Service Specialist is responsible for the coordination of client support and financial services through state and grant funding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assessment, Enrollment and Case Management:
•Meet with clients regularly to assess needs and perform intake assessments
•Assist in the dissemination of support services to eligible clients.
•Manage the client files and data system for accuracy at a level that will ensure the organization will pass multiple monitoring reviews / audits.
•Responsible for maintaining accurate records of support services
•Fully understand all contract and grant requirements of current grants funding the support service programs at ANEW
•Assess clients for BFET enrollment and maintain BFET status as required by the program policies and procedures
•Provide support services to a range of clients from diverse backgrounds with grant parameters and guidelines
Monitoring and Reports:
•Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the client database including all participant demographic information, employment information, and retention services with a 90%accuracy rate; case note entry with a 95% accuracy rate, as well as support service entries with a 95% accuracy rate
•Responsible for ensuring physical files and electronic files are complete and accurate; ensuring the organization will pass all internal and external audits
•Support the development of monthly and quarterly reports and invoices by providing data regarding enrollments, support services, placements, and retention services by the required due dates
•Responsible for weekly matching of support services database
•Other Duties as assigned.
MINIMUM / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years work experience with a non-profit or social service agency focused on case management.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with clients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, outside stakeholders, and vendors.
•Remarkable and competent client engagement aptitude
•Strong written communication skills; clear and concise writing abilities
•Ability to follow oral and written instructions as well as be resourceful in finding solutions to problems that arise while carrying out the essential functions
•Basic Food Employment & Training (BFET) program knowledge preferred
•Knowledge and application of organization, planning, records management, and general administration; including the ability to maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential files.
•Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including ability to create and edit documents in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Typing ability of at least 50 WPM is required. Salesforce experience highly desired
•Demonstrated commitment to economic, racial, and social justice and an understanding of the ways institutions and systems hurt communities of color through both conscious and unconscious bias.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
•Background screening through Washington State Patrol
•Ability to work flexible schedule to include evening and/or weekends
•Proof of citizenship or other authorization for employment
•Continuation of employment is contingent upon successfully performing work described
•Continuation of this position is dependent on achievement of performance goals and availability of funding
WORK LOCATION: ANEW Tukwila Training Center and Satellite locations, as assigned
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:30pm
REPORTS TO: Workforce Program Director
SALARY
This position is paid as a exempt position with a starting hourly rate range of $68,993 - $73,226.66 Per Year. As an exempt position, this position is not eligible to receive Over-time Pay or Compensatory Pay. This position is grant funded and continuation of this position is subject to continuation of funding. The starting salary is based on education and experience as per the below matrix.
BENEFITS
This position is an exempt position. The person in this position is expected to serve a 90-day probation period. Benefits will not be included until and unless the position is made permanent, which is contingent upon performance evaluation, funding, board direction, and potential re-development of the organization and its training/service delivery models. If the position is more than 30/hours per week, employer paid medical benefits will include medical, dental, and vision benefits.
A portion of the medical premium is made by the employee through a pre-tax contribution at time of payroll posting. Employees at 30/hours week or greater qualify for full benefits and pay a pre-tax contribution of $80 per month. Additional employer paid benefits include basic life insurance, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay and taxes as required by law. ANEW also contributes a 4% match to a 401k after one year of employment.
