Dr. Ashraf Affan has a diverse range of work experience in pediatric care. Ashraf founded Angel Kids Pediatrics, the largest pediatric practice in Northeast Florida, in 2004. Dr. Affan's vision was to revolutionize the pediatric care model by empowering not only the pediatrician but also the parents and community through education and preventative care. In 2013, they founded the Pediatric Innovation Center, which aimed to transform pediatric primary care through the use of eHealth and Telemedicine solutions. Ashraf also founded US Best Medical in 2017, a platform that aimed to transform the healthcare delivery model for medical tourism in the US. Additionally, Dr. Affan founded RxCare USA, which provided lower-cost healthcare options and access to equitable healthcare. Ashraf also created I Nurse My Baby, an online resource to support breastfeeding mothers. Dr. Affan has served as a National Faculty member for the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative, a program designed to help clinicians achieve large-scale health transformation. Furthermore, they have experience as a Chief Resident and Pediatric Resident at Nassau University Hospital. Dr. Affan has demonstrated a passion for improving pediatric care locally and globally through their various roles and contributions.
Ashraf Affan, MD completed their medical education at the University of Khartoum, where they obtained their MBBS degree in Medicine from 2016 to 2020. Ashraf then pursued further education in healthcare leadership at Harvard Medical School from 2022 to 2023. In addition to their degrees, they have also obtained certifications in Agile Implementation from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
