Michael Fierman

Michael is a Managing Partner and Co-CEO of Angel Oak Companies, a firm focused on credit opportunities within asset management, capital markets and mortgage lending. In this role, Michael provides strategic direction and leadership to Angel Oak’s various businesses, with a focus primarily on mortgage lending and asset management.

Prior to Angel Oak, Michael was a co-founder at SouthStar Funding, a national wholesale mortgage lender specializing in non-agency mortgage products which funded as much as $6.5 billion annually in non-agency mortgages. Michael’s direct responsibilities included oversight of the sales, operations and credit risk departments.

Michael holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia.
