Chris Hmelar

Chris Hmelar is an accomplished tax professional with extensive experience in corporate tax management and compliance. Currently serving as Vice President of Tax at Angi since October 2025, Chris has previously held significant roles, including Head of Tax and Treasury at Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. from February 2021 to September 2025, and Tax Director at PwC from 2013 to February 2021. Chris's expertise encompasses ASC 740 Tax Accounting, US Federal and State Tax Compliance, International Tax Planning and Reporting, and Transfer Pricing. Prior roles include Tax Director at Xchanging and Senior Tax Associate at PwC, where Chris developed a strong foundation in corporate tax compliance and consulting. Chris holds a BS in Marketing and Accounting from the USC Marshall School of Business, complemented by studies at the National University of Singapore.
