Anthony Smedley

Anthony Smedley serves as the School Principal at Angleton Independent School District since July 2016, where accomplishments include training and promoting four assistant principals and creating a strengths-based leadership model for the administration team. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Principal, where responsibilities were restructured to enhance administrative efficiency through strength-based leadership. Before that, Anthony worked as Assistant Principal at Houston ISD from August 2011 to August 2016, leading initiatives that resulted in significant increases in STAAR test scores for 6th and 8th grades. Academic qualifications include a Superintendent Certification from Region 4 Education Service Center, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Lamar University, and a Bachelor's degree in Technology from the University of Houston.
