Simon Kerr is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in innovation and digital delivery within the water sector. Currently serving as Innovation Lead at Anglian Water @one Alliance since January 2023, Simon has previously held significant roles at Mott MacDonald from 2010 to 2023, including Digital Delivery Principal and Knowledge and Innovation Manager. Simon contributed to the BIM4Water initiative as Chair and Vice Chair from 2015 to 2019 and served as an Associate Lecturer at The Open University, mentoring students aspiring to become chartered engineers between 2011 and 2016. Earlier career roles included Senior Civil Engineer at Beca and Graduate Engineer at Mott MacDonald. Simon holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Cambridge, earned in 2004.

Anglian Water @one Alliance

The Anglian Water @one Alliance - comprises of eight partners, who together will deliver projects accounting for over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme. The @one Alliance will design and build around 800 schemes worth approximately £1.2billion and these include: water and water recycling treatment centres serving more than six million people in eastern England (and the Hartlepool Water region) and maintaining/improving our region’s water mains and sewerage network. The Alliance partners are: Anglian Water Asset Delivery, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, Mott MacDonald Bentley, SWECO, Skanska and MWH Treatment.​ As we move into AMP (Asset Management Period 8) in 2025, our work is to increase from a £1.2 billion programme to an approximately £2.3 billion….so there has never been a better time to join us on our journey!
