Michael Oerlemans

Michael Oerlemans is the Regional Director, North Central at Anglicare Victoria. Michael has over 25 years of experience in the health and human services sector.

Michael has previously worked as the Assistant Director, Individual and Family Support at the Department of Health and Human Services, where they were responsible for managing Client Services within the Loddon region. This included Services Connect, Youth Justice, Disability Client Services, Housing Advice and Assistance, and Reception Services.

Prior to that, they were the Manager, Strategic Support at the Department of Human Services, where they managed client support services including Aboriginal Services Planning, performance and service integration.

Before that, they worked as the Strategic Planner at Loddon Mallee Integrated Cancer Services, where they were responsible for the development of a regional strategic plan to provide more integrated and collaborative approaches to service delivery across the Loddon Mallee region.

Michael has also worked as a Research Officer at Collaborative Health, Education and Research Centre and Melbourne University, La Trobe University Bendigo.

Michael Oerlemans has a wealth of experience in the health and human services sector and is committed to improving access to services for all Victorians.

Michael Oerlemans has a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Flinders University, a Master of Cognitive Science from the University of NSW, and a BA (Hons) in Linguistics and Psychology from Macquarie University. Michael also has a Higher School Certificate from Patrician Brothers Fairfield. Additionally, they are a member of the Australian Republican Movement, Oxfam, WWF, Amnesty International, World Vision, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
