Alexandre Rocha is an experienced geologist currently serving as a Short-Term Geological Specialist at Anglo American since October 2011. Alexandre's expertise includes short-term geological modeling using Leap Frog and Datamine software, along with leadership in improvement projects and coordination of geology and mine quality control activities. Prior roles at Anglo American include responsibilities for geological aspects and grade control in short-term models, as well as developing initial geological frameworks for the first five years of mining. Before joining Anglo American, Alexandre Rocha worked at Vale from July 2001 to August 2011, where positions included Supervisor of Geology and Mine Quality Control and various roles in short-term geology coordination. Alexandre Rocha holds a Master's degree in Structural Geology/Tectonics from the Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from UERJ, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Geostatistics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
