Dean Jarvis

Dean Jarvis is an experienced professional in the underground mining industry, currently serving as the Lead Underground Operations at Anglo American since May 2019. Prior to this role, Dean held positions as Operations Manager at Thiess, where the focus was on enhancing market share in hard rock mining, and as Senior Operations Manager at Barminco, managing multiple underground operations across Australia. Dean's career began at Byrnecut Offshore Pty Ltd, progressing from Project Manager and Senior Contracts Engineer to Operations Manager, overseeing various mine sites internationally. Dean holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mining from the University of Wollongong and completed studies at Trinity Senior High School.
