Mauro Costa

Mauro Costa has extensive experience in the mining and mineral processing industry, currently working at Anglo American since January 2014 as Gerente Prontidão Operacional Filtragem, focusing on the planning of future operations for tailings filtration and stacking. Mauro has held several managerial roles within Anglo American, including Gerente Filtragem and Gerente de Operação Usina, where responsibilities included interfacing with various departments and ensuring operational parameters are met. Prior to Anglo American, Mauro worked at Vale in multiple engineering and operational roles from 2006 to 2013 and at Kinross Gold Corporation from 1988 to 2006 overseeing operations in crushing, concentration, and hydrometallurgy. Mauro holds a Master’s degree in Mineral Technology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, an MBA in Project Management from Ibmec, a degree in Mining Engineering from Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais, and a Técnico em Mineração from ETFOP.
