Cameron Smith

Cameron Smith is an experienced professional in equipment maintenance and mining operations, currently serving as General Manager Equipment Maintenance at North American Construction Group since May 2022. Previously, Cameron held the role of Director Fleet Performance - Mining at Finning from January 2019 to May 2022, where responsibilities included developing and managing strategies to optimize the operational performance of Caterpillar fleets for mining customers. Earlier experience includes serving as Senior Director Mine Support at Westmoreland Coal Company, overseeing operations at multiple mines and plants, and various positions at Prairie Mines & Royalty and Rio Tinto, focusing on mine engineering and operations. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Alberta.
