Willy Olivares

Willy Olivares currently serves as the Regional SHEC Manager - Americas at Anglo American since October 2021, bringing extensive experience in occupational health, safety, and environment management. Prior to this role, Willy worked at BHP from November 2013 to October 2021 in various positions including Superintendent HSE Execution and HSEC Coordinator - Americas for Minerals Exploration, focusing on risk assessments, accident investigations, and HSEC system implementation. Willy's career also includes significant contributions at Hochschild Mining from August 2005 to October 2013 as the Head of HSEC, where responsibilities encompassed planning and organizing safety, health, and environmental initiatives across multiple countries in South America. Willy has an impressive educational background, holding multiple degrees including a Master's in Transforming Leadership from EADA Business School and an MBA in Management & Leadership from CENTRUM PUCP.
