Christian Holland is a seasoned geotechnical professional with extensive experience across various mining companies. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Geotechnical Support Operations at AngloGold Ashanti since December 2022, Christian provides geotechnical support to open pit and underground mines in Ghana, Tanzania, and Guinea. Previous roles include Principal Geotechnical Engineer at BHP and Resolute Mining Limited, as well as a progression of positions at MMG Limited, where support was provided to sites in Australia, Laos, and the DRC. Earlier experience includes positions at AngloGold Ashanti, BHP Billiton, Cannington Mine, Placer Dome, and Harmony Gold, encompassing responsibilities in geotechnical assessment, risk analysis, and underground geological support. Christian holds a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the Western Australian School of Mines and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geology from James Cook University.
