Katie Atkins

Katie Atkins is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in various organizations. Currently serving as the Manager of HR Systems at AngloGold Ashanti since August 2025, Katie previously held multiple roles at Newmont Corporation from October 2015 to August 2025, including Senior Global HR Compensation Analyst and Senior Global HR Business Systems Specialist. Prior to that, Katie worked at Haynes Mechanical Systems as a Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist and Recruiter/HR Coordinator from August 2012 to October 2015. Earlier experience includes a position as a Graduate Student Counselor and International MBA Graduate Assistant at the University of Denver, along with a Human Resources Intern role at Merrick & Company. Katie began a career in education as the Global Technology Coordinator at Neuse Charter School. Educational qualifications include an International MBA in Business Management from the University of Denver, a B.A. in Communications with a focus on Public Relations and Global Communications from East Carolina University, and an International Study Experience in Global Communications at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen.
